Azure Latch Otoya Guide: Invisibility, Moveset & Counters

The Ninja of Soccer

Eita Otoya (Update 15, Mythic, 1.7%) is the stealth pick — the only style with true invisibility — and the quarter’s breakout search star alongside Karasu. B-tier competitively (tier list), top-tier fun.

Moveset (Official Values)

  • {T} Invisibility — vanish briefly. 15s cooldown, no iFrames. Ends when you use any move or touch the ball — and switches off inside your own penalty box as GK (no invisible keepers).
  • [1] Shuriken Shot — camera-aimable shot with a timed power window: press again right before the strike for a power buff. On-ball, iFrames, 24s.
  • [1] Kusarigama Slash — the off-ball twin (24s, no iFrames): same aim-and-time profile, and pressing again interrupts the dash straight into the jump-kick.
  • [2] Stealthy Steps — weave past up to 3 opponents; after a successful weave, press again to dash forward and collect the ball on contact. Off-ball only.
  • [3] Tiki-Taka Style — off-ball run support.

Playing the Ghost

Invisibility is a positioning tool, not an escape: since touching the ball breaks it, the pro pattern is vanish → reposition behind the defense → reappear on the through-ball. Combining it with Stealthy Steps’ weave chains lets Otoya walk through midfields — but remember both his aimable shots share the timed-press mechanic; flubbing the second press costs the power buff.

Countering Otoya

He telegraphs on contact: the moment he takes the ball he’s visible with no iFrames on half his kit. Aerial steals (Aiku’s Venom Trap) and body-block tackles punish the reappear windows, and disciplined defenses simply mark the space behind them (defensive theory).
