Azure Latch NEL Isagi: Quest Steps, Moveset & Super Senses

The Only Evolution Style

NEL Isagi is the game’s flagship quest style — per the official Trello, currently the only style you evolve into. It requires owning Kaiser, Rin and Isagi, and the questline only progresses in public servers. Budget a few evenings; the community meme “Azure Latch is a job” exists because of this quest.

The Questline (Official Steps)

Kaiser’s Ego — with Kaiser: score Beinschuss; score Superstar (requires a Rin user to tackle you mid-shot); steal with flow; score Lightning Impact; land the Dribble counter 5×; use Off the Ball 10×.

Rin’s Hatred — with Rin: score the Kill grab variant on an Isagi/NEL Isagi; score a normal Kill; land Center of Gravity on an Isagi; score a Crashout shot; Fake Shot counter 7×; curve shot goals 7×.

Isagi’s Rebirth — with Isagi, after both: 10 Direct Shot goals; one backheel goal; one MY DIRECT SHOT goal; Move It on a Barou user; force a Chigiri to Move It; then score a Lucky Goal and win that match.

The grindy items (7 curve goals, 10 Direct Shots) go faster in coordinated lobbies — recruit a club partner willing to feed setups.

The Moveset (Official Values)

  • {T} Super Senses — 60s cooldown, rotating buff pieces: red boosts Neo shots, green slashes tackle/dash cooldowns to near-spammable, blue grants a WASD movement buff lingering ~3.5s off-piece.
  • [1] Neo Direct Shot — 20s cooldown, no iFrames, Feint-cancellable mid-animation; the Neo Volley variant near an airborne ball fires instantly (less power, no wind-up).
  • [2] Raumdeuter — off-ball repositioning with iFrames, 30s cooldown, usable while you’re the last player to have possessed the ball.
  • Meta-Burst Point [3] — steal (slide) and deflect/trap variants; both are quest targets in the Hiori questline’s third chapter.
  • [5] Rebirth — the awakening finisher.

Is It Worth the Grind?

Yes — S-tier (rankings), free, and the quest teaches you three of the best styles in the game on the way. The lefty Neo Direct Shot tech (get tackled during wind-up) is also a Hiori quest requirement, so NEL veterans get a head start there.
